Global surface ocean pH has declined on average by approximately 0.1 pH units (from 8.2 to 8.1) since the industrial revolution (1770). Each of the last six decades have been warmer than the previous one. The warming rate during the last decade (2010–2019) is twice (0.70 ± 0.07 Wm –2) the warming rate of the long term record. Ocean Heat Content in the upper 2,000 m shows a linear warming rate of 0.35 ± 0.08 Wm –2 in the period 1955–2019 (65 years). During the last decade (2010–2019) the rate of ocean surface warming has accelerated to 0.280 ± 0.068☌ per decade, 4.5 times higher than the long term mean. The globally averaged ocean surface temperature shows a mean warming trend of 0.062 ± 0.013☌ per decade over the last 120 years (1900–2019). Global ocean physical and chemical trends are reviewed and updated using seven key ocean climate change indicators: (i) Sea Surface Temperature, (ii) Ocean Heat Content, (iii) Ocean pH, (iv) Dissolved Oxygen concentration (v) Arctic Sea Ice extent, thickness, and volume (vi) Sea Level and (vii) the strength of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). 14Department of Engineering, University of St.13Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences (IOPAN), Sopot, Poland.12Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, Instituto Iberoamericano de Desarrollo Sostenible, Universidad Autónoma de Chile, Temuco, Chile.11Centro Oceanográfico de Málaga, Instituto Español de Oceanografía, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (IEO, CSIC), Málaga, Spain.10Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), Yokosuka, Japan.9Technological Center Expert in Marine and Food Innovation (AZTI), Pasaia, Spain.8Polar Science Center, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, United States.7Ocean Acidification Program, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Silver Springs, MD, United States.6GEOMAR, Ocean Circulation and Climate Dynamics, Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research, Kiel, Germany.5Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), Postdam, Germany.4Irish Climate Analysis and Research Unit (ICARUS), Department of Geography, Maynooth University, Maynooth, Ireland.3International Center for Climate and Environment Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China.2Global Change Unit (BEGIK), Plentzia Marine Station (PiE), University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Plentzia, Spain.1Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Santander, Spain.Jewett 7, Alicia Cheripka 7, Ignatius Rigor 8, Ainhoa Caballero 9, Sanae Chiba 10, Jose Carlos Báez 11,12, Tymon Zielinski 13 and John Patrick Abraham 14 Carlos Garcia-Soto 1,2*, Lijing Cheng 3, Levke Caesar 4,5, S.
